Alpha Eta Rho, Epsilon Rho Hangar was founded in January of 1962 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to bring together those students having a common interest in the field of aviation.
Alpha Eta Rho was founded on four purposes:
(1) to further the cause of aviation in all of its branches,
(2) to instill in the public mind a confidence in aviation,
(3) to promote a closer affiliation between the students of aviation and those engaged in the profession, and
(4) to promote contacts between the students of aviation for the purposes of education and research.
To see that interest is not lost, the men and women of the Epsilon Rho Hangar have strived to promote the aviation industry through various means including sponsoring many aviation related activities such as airport tours and projects for the industry with the purpose of bringing people close to aviation. Alpha Eta Rho, Epsilon Rho Hangar, will continue to strive for the expansion of the aviation industry and for the education of its many students. It will fulfill its duty to promote aviation and learning not only for its members but also for the public, in an effort to live up to the ideals and goals of its founders.
